The Seven Deadly Sins

Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.
Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.
Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.
Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.
Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.
Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.

Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

Examples:
Pride: Being too pride to accept help with something that you need help with.
Envy: When you like something that someone else has and you really want it.
Gluttony: Eating too much and obesity
Lust: Wanting something badly
Anger: Being angry at everything and everyone
Sloth: Being lazy and not wanting to do anything
The Lion King

1. Who are the ‘good’ characters from the film? List them.
Simba, Mufassa, Sazu, Pumba, Timon, Reffekki, Nala.

2. Who are the ‘evil’ characters from the film? List them.
Scar, Warthogs, Ed, Shenzi, Benzi

3. What qualities help define Simba as a ‘good’ character? Explain some of his personality traits and things he does in the film that demonstrate his ‘goodness’.
Simba always stands up for his friends and is very brave in taking back his kingdom from Scar.

4. What qualities help define Scar as an ‘evil’ character? Explain some of his personality traits and things he does in the film that demonstrate his ‘evilness’.
Scar is evil because he killed Mufassa, tricked Simba and made Simba’s kingdom go into a famine.

5. What is the ultimate evil act that Scar does? Why does he do this? What does this make you think or feel about his character?

Scar kills Mufassa so that he can take over Pride Rock and the kingdom.
If there is no free will then we wouldn’t be able to a make one on one relationship with God which would make us slaves because if we don’t have God then how did the universe start who gave us life no one I don’t think so if we don’t have God then we wouldn’t have free will and if we didn’t have free will we wouldn’t be alive.
If one of my friends stole a copy of a science exam that had a 50% weighting on our final results of the year I would try to talk him out of selling it and try and talk him into returning it however he can and if he wouldn’t listen then I would tell our science teacher that he stole the test.
